It is possible to link event(s) to a damage.
Best practice
Note that only the events occurring before the "Date the damage occurred" (entered in the Report info in the webforms) will show in the events table, so setting this date correctly will help linking the events

Using the filtering options for distance damage-events and magnitude ranges the fastest way to link event to the damage
