Convex Hull and Development

Purpose

Build convex hull to quantify the geometry of the stope including drives. This is an important measure for common loss of confinement cases e.g. concave faces and drive undercutting.

The goal is to clip the development using the different boxes to keep only the sections that captures the undercutting or overcutting so the convex hull can be built.

Steps

  1. Main clipping box (green) fits stope.
  2. Top and bottom boxes (blue and orange in the panel) capture development above/below drives.
  3. Disable boxes if aren't needed or are erroneous.
  4. Adjust the best fit rotation (purple) (if required).
  1. Adjust controls including, max distance, box scaling, rotation, offset so that only the development closely associated with the stope is contained within these volumes
